History

The Hall was opened in October 1933 by the Countess of Inchcape. The Rugby Advertiser reported at the time that "The Hall is a substantially built structure of pleasing appearance, contains an assembly room about 150 feet by 25 feet, with a stage, and on either side of the entrance are cloakrooms. There are also a kitchen, dressing-room, and convenient sanitary accommodation. The building is heated by the low pressure hot water system." This was the culmination of 5 years of fund raising after Miss Ella Hall (Mrs.Tanser by the time the Hall was opened) asked, on the 10th March 1928, that ways and means be explored to provide a hall for the village."

Since then alterations and extensions have added a Committee room, and a lounge area with Bar. The facilities and services have been updated over the years including audio visual equipment: ceiling mounted projector, computer controlled LED stage lighting, radio microphones. The hall also has broadband and good Wi-Fi coverage.
